Summer 2026 Update: What's Happening at June Lake

As many of you are aware, Spring Hill is currently under sewer moratorium while the city builds a new, state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility that will replace the existing system and provide the capacity needed to support years of continued growth — including the full build-out of June Lake. While the moratorium has shifted the development timeline, it hasn't shifted the vision. The commitment to making June Lake Middle Tennessee's premier mixed-use development remains as strong as ever — and there's still plenty happening worth sharing. Here's a current look at where things stand.

The First Commercial District — Status Update

June Lake's first commercial district has been a long time coming, and vertical construction is nearly here. The Goddard School, Liberty Federal Credit Union, Heartland Dental, Image Studios, and the newly approved June Lake Collective are all moving toward breaking ground. Retailer announcements for June Lake Collective are on the way.

June Lake Trail — New

Construction plans for June Lake Trail are currently awaiting permitting. The trail will be a paved one-mile loop around the lake featuring a scenic overlook and landscaping improvements, with upgrades to the dam and spillway also included. Future plans call for the trail to connect to the Aenon Creek Greenway, which is expected to stretch more than 2.5 miles upon full completion. Opening is expected spring 2027.

The Pointer Cemetery & Battle of Franklin Trust — New

The Alexander Family has entered into an agreement with the Battle of Franklin Trust to preserve and maintain the Pointer Cemetery, located on the June Lake property. The cemetery will be made accessible to the public as a way to better understand the people who lived in this area and helped shape Middle Tennessee. Quarterly tours are expected to launch in 2027.

Saddlewalk — Status Update

Things are moving fast at Saddlewalk. Pod B is fully sold out, with all homes on track to close by end of Q3. Pod A move-ins are starting in July. Pod E is taking shape — the first townhome buildings have begun framing, with approximately 10 more buildings scheduled to start in Q3. Three new model home grand openings are planned for October — one alley-load home in Pod A and two townhomes in Pod E.

Solstice at June Lake — New

Solstice residents and neighbors have a new community perk worth knowing about. June Lake is now in rotation with Street Food Finder, a service that notifies you when food trucks are headed your way. Lifestyle Communities — Status Update

Lifestyle Communities remains committed to June Lake. Their timeline has been affected by the sewer moratorium, but Phase One will move forward as soon as capacity is available. Read the original announcement →
